Latest News

Tampa General Hospital is hosting its first-ever Innovation Week, showcasing the latest advancements in healthcare research and technology. One of the highlights of the event will be AGFA HealthCare’s demonstration of its RUBEE® Augmented Intelligence (AI) Packages, which offer a glimpse into the future of medical imaging.

Throughout the week, visitors will get a hands-on experience with AGFA’s AI technology, designed to help radiologists and healthcare professionals analyze medical images more quickly and accurately. The AI tools provide deeper insights into patient scans, allowing for faster diagnoses and more informed decision-making.

Mark Burgess, AGFA HealthCare’s President for North America, expressed excitement about participating in the event, saying, “We’re really proud to be part of this initiative. Innovation like this can make a huge difference in healthcare, and it’s exciting to be alongside Tampa General Hospital in exploring these possibilities.”

As part of the interactive demonstrations, Tampa General Hospital staff will have the chance to examine medical images themselves and compare their findings to those identified by AGFA’s AI algorithms. These AI tools can analyze images and spot abnormalities or other clinical findings in areas such as orthopedics, neurology, and women’s health. The goal is to show how AI can complement human expertise, speeding up the process and enhancing the accuracy of diagnoses.
