Lunit, has announced a partnership with global healthcare giant Roche to integrate its AI-powered cancer diagnostic tool, Lunit SCOPE PD-L1 22C3 TPS, into Roche’s navify® Digital Pathology platform. This collaboration represents Lunit’s first AI deployment with Roche and is designed to enhance cancer diagnostics and research, supporting pathologists and scientists with cutting-edge digital tools.

The navify® Digital Pathology platform, developed by Roche, is an enterprise software application that assists pathologists in managing and analyzing digital pathology data. By incorporating Lunit’s AI algorithms, the platform aims to offer more efficient and precise biomarker testing, improving cancer research and patient outcomes through advancements in precision medicine.

The collaboration will initially focus on the U.S. market, with plans for future expansion into Canada, Europe, the UK, Korea, and Japan. This move aligns with both companies’ strategic goals to improve cancer diagnostics and treatment in diverse healthcare systems worldwide.

Lunit SCOPE PD-L1 22C3 TPS is a tool designed to analyze the PD-L1 tumor proportion score (TPS), an important biomarker in cancer immunotherapy. The AI-powered system automates the challenging PD-L1 scoring process, providing more accurate and consistent assessments than traditional methods. Although the tool is currently available for research purposes only, its integration into Roche’s platform is expected to expand its accessibility for researchers globally.

Lunit’s CEO, Brandon Suh, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We’re excited to work with Roche in building a digital pathology ecosystem that integrates our AI tools, which we believe will significantly advance precision medicine.
